CasparCG embedded hardware requirements

#1
Hello,

I'm interested in knowing more information on CasparCG for an embedded linux environment. I've skimmed the CasparCG website and literature. It seems as if it is all geared towards off the shelf Windows PCs with Nvidia or ATI graphic cards.

What type of CPU frequency, number of cores, GPU frequency and RAM is typically recommend for a single SD or HD channel?

How far can a QuadCore 1.0GHz ARM, 300MHz GPU OpenGL ES v3.0 with 2GB of RAM go for an embedded system?

Has anyone ever ported to run in a linux environment?

Is there issues with the Flash templates in Linux?

Thank you so much for your time,

Bill Rice

It has never been ported to Linux. There is some Windows specific stuff in the code. AFAIK there are no plans to port it, because the 200 bucks that you pay for a Windows license cannot be a argument for the amount of work that a port would take.

For system requirements /recomandations please see the wiki.

What is this? Spam? Why do you argue about a linux port? That is already done. It can be download from Caspars main download page.
