Can you use DeckLink 4 Extreme for input and play video?

Postby Fayyaz » 16 Mar 2017, 14:11

Hi all,

I have DeckLink 4 Extreme Connected to PC using two SDI out as key+fill.

If I connect a camera to DeckLink 4 extreme input then,

a. Can I play camera video to CasperCG server? if not then
b. How to play a live video to casperCG server? i:e camera connected to same pc through any other medium (usb, usbc, hdmi) and capturing the video.

Kind Regards,

I'm not sure, but the duplex feature in the 4K cards might limit each channel to 1,5gbps, not allowing for 1080p50 input.

Try feeding 1080i50 and adding FORMAT 1080i5000 to your play command.
