The HTML producer on the wiki

Postby balte » 14 Sep 2016, 06:53

Hi all,

I have added some info about the HTML producer on the wiki. Due to limited time it's not as elaborate as I had planned to, but at least it should provide some basic info for new users.

If I missed anything, or made any mistakes please tell me!

The changes can be found here: http://casparcg.com/wiki/Content_/_Medi ... L_Producer

ps: @armin hafizovic a new wiki should probably have a structure with more pages, rather than using a single page with a million subheadings.

Good work, balte!

P.S. You can blame me for the wiki structure. I started out writing the wiki in a very kosher style with each heading as a separate page, but it was impossible to get an overview and quickly became a tangled mess of links back and forth. I'm the first to call the current wiki old, ugly and out of date, but splitting it into separate pages would not be an improvement in my book. :)

It would then have a hierarchical structure with a tree like menu on the side.

I understand now why it isn't split into separate pages. This is definitely something I think we should consider for a new wiki though!

The entire hierarchical structure can be found on the first page of the wiki and also at the top of the three subpages:
http://casparcg.com/wiki/CasparCG_Server
http://casparcg.com/wiki/Content_/_Media
http://casparcg.com/wiki/Category:For_Developers

If someone can help out with making MediaWiki put that in a sidebar, please let an administrator know and we'll hook you up with an account!

Please add info to wiki:
1. Invoke()
2. Latest CEF support font antialiasing
3. If need support mp4/mp3, you can compile CEF with proprietary codecs support - http://html5test.com/s/296d3032fe03faa9.html

Can you please explain a bit what do you mean about latest CEF. Can you give step by step instruction how to compile CasparCG with latest CEF, I thought it was impossible?

https://github.com/CasparCG/Server/pull/408
The latest CEF version has a problem with the frames planner, because now they are 2. One at CEF, the second in CasrapCG.

Hi Balte,

Is it possible to edit the Content / Media menu at the top of the Main_Page of the Wiki to insert a link to your section HTML producer ?

Searching for it, I was unable to find it.
I knew it was somewhere in the WIKI but where...

I don't have the right permissions to edit that page unfortunately.
