Hiding Dynamic text fields from Caspar

Postby nibo » 20 Mar 2017, 11:09

Hi Folks,

This question as probably been raised before, but I cannot find the answer.

I have created a Caspar Template in Adobe Animate CC, where I have two text objects with the same text content, and the user only enters content in object one via a Caspar Sequencer, and object two then takes content from object one via an Actionscript.

I have the Actionscript working, but I cannot find out how to hide a Dynamic text field with an Instance name, so it does not appear to be a caspar field.

Any ideas?

Kind regards
Niels

I don't understand what you are trying to do, but have you tried to set
Code: Select all
fieldToHide.alpha = 0;
where fieldToHide is the instance name of the field to hide?

To hide a text field from template generator, name should be started with x.
For example xf0, xf1 are non caspar text fields.
And f0 and f1 are caspar text fields.

Hi Vimlesh
That worked. I had tried with completely different names and they were still transferred to Caspar. xf0 and xf1 was the trick.

Thanks Much
