Simple DBFS Display

Postby santhosh » 09 Sep 2015, 07:44

Hi
I would like to share with the forum members , a simple (and slightly customizable) audio display pluggin. Installation info is provided in the accompanying JPG file. Its created and tested in .Net 4 and VS2010 under Win7 .
The "DBFS_Value" property can be changed during run time, and its value ranges from "-36" to "0". As of now ,there is no support for system audio as such. DBFS values returned by OSC should work, however. Please give it a try and provide your valuable feedback on the bugs/suggestions etc ,here :)

Have A NiceDay :)
Keep In Touch :)

Hi Santosh,

First of all thanks for your work.
I leave my remarks:

I just test your control. It works only in x86 Compile Mode. Could you compile or give source code to compile it in x64.
It would be interesting to allow user to custom the bargraph color. I can't resize the width of the bargraph, could you add this functionality ?

Regards.

As Im using VS 2010 ,Im not so sure if VS 2010 can compile 64bit applications also, without any additional software support. Sofar Ive not tried it or configured it for x64 applications. Regarding the source code, I will post it to the forum, once some of the modifications and corrections are made :) :).

I find your suggestion to be worth implementing :) . I will try to modify the code accordingly to incorporate a customizable bargraph colour and a variable width graph . Once it is complete, I will let you know about it :) .

It can. It helps, when you run it on a 64bit system, to be able to compile for 64bit's explicitly. but you can set it to any, so that it runs as 32bit on 32 bit systems and as 64bit on 64bit operating systems

I get it still only build in x86. But how do I connect it to caspar osc ?
I have three decklinks inside and want to builtup a multichannel VU meter
for all audio outs.
Build on All Cpu hangs for me with dBFS_Meter_ANY_CPU_COMPILED.rar.

Thx Roland
