First convert the minute and second to frame. 1x60x25+25x25=2125
And give a command like below.
Code: Select all
play 1-1 filename seek 2125

It depend on the codec. On codecs with interframe compression, like MPEG-2, it sometimes jumps from I-frame to i-frame. So try with a much lower value, when you don't know, how it behaves. If you SEEK beonde the end of the file, nothing will get played.

And keep in mind that the formula used by vimlesh is for 25fps channels and clips. If you run other framerates, change it accordingly.
The length and seek parameters takes the input as frame numbers, so seeking to minute 1 in your clip is
Code: Select all
framerate * 60s

Given the framerate in frames/second.

cheers

It right to modify the formula for 60 frames, but if this would be the problem, the video would be sarted too early. So it seems ho be an other issue. As Vimlesh wrote: please show us the logfile.

(Note: Please remember that your video file should be encoded at the same frame rate of the Caspar CG system)

for a video file running at 59.94i (or 29.98fps) the formula would be:

(((hrs * 60 + min) * 60) + sec) * fps = total frames

for 0 hours 1 minute 25 seconds at 29.98fps:

(((0 * 60 + 1) * 60) + 25) * 29.98 = 2548

Did you changed the "filename" to the name of your video? e.g. "PLAY 1-1 test.mov SEEK 2125"
