CasparCG on Linux: New test builds for Ubuntu 17.10 and 16.04

I have completed the work (stage1) to get CasparCG building for Ubuntu 17.10 and Ubuntu 16.04. It's not merged into the official repo yet, but is available on my fork, along with some pre-built versions that I'd love it if people could test! Remember to download the right version for your OS. https:...

Re: CasparCG server on Linux: Discussion about the official builds

The term 'officially supported' is something that SVT would have to define. But my view on it is that it's the ones that SVT will be using internally and wants them to be updated, so they will of course have an interest in ensuring those versions get developer time/resources. So that means they will...

Automated build system

SVT runs (though it's not enabled right now), an automated build system for CasparCG client and server. This needs to be updated due to changes in the build-scripts, so it's a good time for us to discuss how we can make the automated build system better. Currently it uses Jenkins, a system that I pe...

CasparCG server on Linux: Discussion about the official builds

We've been discussing about what version of linux to 'officially support' in the github issue system. It's probably better to continue the discussions here... My suggestion so far is this (copied from the github issue) ______________________________________________________________________________ Th...

Re: [Demo] CasparCG server on MacOS

I've removed the binary as I can't be bothered to deal with this now. I originally wrote a very detailed forum post with the binary and source links, but due to issues in the new forum design the message vanished. So to save time, I rewrote the message quickly and forgot the source link. It's not th...

Re: [Demo] CasparCG server on MacOS

The code has been uploaded at https://bitbucket.org/markolsson/casparcg_macos_port way before I uploaded the binary. So you can relax now! But really...this is just a demo to see if people are interested in a MacOS port and if it's something that could work. Stop being a troll and instead do constru...

Re: [Demo] CasparCG server on MacOS

Sorry for the lack of replies, I've been sorting out a few personal things. Anyway...I do intend to release a version of CasparCG on MacOS, but I need to work a bit on getting the code to a good quality that would be approved in a pull-request :) If it supports Decklink cards, HTML producer, scene p...

Hey Armin
Just wondering how you were going with new candidates (not rushing you just interested), Its a great bit of software, with some good pull requests in queue waiting to make it better.
FYI: Armin is on vacation at the moment so he is unlikely to reply about this quickly.

Re: My last day at SVT

If the person leaving has vacation available, it's possible they will take that in/as their notice period. As Armin has mentioned multiple times, Niklas Andersson will work from time to time on the CasparCG server project. It can't be assumed that SVT has the resources to throw at this project to su...

[Tested] BMD Ultrastudio Mini HD

I've managed to test out the new Ultrastudio Mini HD with CasparCG and can give an overview of my findings. Demo video https://vimeo.com/219851234 637710959_640x360.jpg Connectivity Thunderbolt 3 connectivity limits what I can test this with. I do have the new MacBook Pro though so was able to conne...

Re: [Prototype] Controlling CasparCG with Elgato Stream Deck

@emisiona Great that you ordered one! I really love mine. It was super easy to link it with the AMCP nodejs lib, so have already got control of my CasparCG server with it. Of course, linking the buttons to specific macros and fetching some images will require some work. I'd say it's all very easy......
