Re: Playback crashing issues

Has the content-encoding process changed? V2.0.7 was rather sensitive to anomalies in video clip encoding*, and recall seeing some freezes/hangs mpeg2 content, but can't recall at this point what that was. I did file a bug on one of the crashes, but that was over a year ago and mpg file specific. *s...

Re: Event OSC messages

Documentation: http://casparcg.com/wiki/CasparCG_OSC_Protocol Nope, not for /event, I looked before posting. Source Code: https://github.com/CasparCG/Server/tree/2.1.0/protocol/osc The same- that dir covers the formatting and sending of OSC messages, does not appear to cover the content. Go into pr...

Event OSC messages

In https://github.com/dimitry-ishenko-casparcg/timer, there is mention of- Select the output you have added above from the Output drop-down box. In the Path field enter /event/status . In the Message field you can enter one of the following: reset, start or stop. Select String from the Type drop-dow...

Re: Audio Never Seems To Work

I've seen (and heard) the same thing. CasparCG will do some framerate conversion of video, but from what I can tell it won't match timestamps between A and V when it does (IIRC that's already a feature request). For instance, if you have 24p video with sound and try to play it out at 30p, they'll ge...

Re: Audio Never Seems To Work

No, I can't play a direct audio file over SDI embedded or using the system audio consumer. Same net effect. Just to understand, you can play a simple audio file without errors using vlc/another player to system audio? That same file stutters when played via caspar? (have you tried several different...

Re: HTML producer and background image

I'm not really familiar with the way the client works, but a screen grab of the "live" window did the trick. This shows the artifact for a 640x480 image- Capture.PNG In order of suggestion-- img src tag w/ example code -- output looks correct background-repeat: none -- does not help background-size:...

HTML producer and background image

I've been playing around with the 2.1 beta (lots of nice stuff!) and the HTML producer. With simple HTML showing a background image, that image appears rolled up the screen maybe 20% so that what should be at the top is down at the bottom. Sort of like this (a screen shot would be difficult from the...

Re: CasparCG forum - Upgrade

Why not just put them -on- the toolbar? They're extremely useful (more than "view on GitHub", I'll venture, for most of us). Getting off into the UI itself and usability-- What is the difference between "submit" and "post reply"? I'd expect the latter to post what I've just written but it opens a ne...

Re: CasparCG forum - Upgrade

(You go away for a few weeks and someone rearranges the furniture... :) ) Where are the most convenient "view unread" or "view new posts" functions, so far I don't see them anywhere. There were at the top of the forum list. (Also, the picture at the top of the index page takes up quite a lot of scre...

Re: [Prototype] Controlling CasparCG with Elgato Stream Deck

Have started to write an API in Swift, I've got button states working fine, will write the code to send images to the device tomorrow hopefully. Are you talking to the device directly or to the windows app? I haven't seen much doc on the device; are you reverse-engineering the API? It looks very in...

Re: CINF doesn't update info

Wasn't there a change in server 2.10 whereby you can give a complete file name on CINF? If so, that might query the file each time; haven't tried this Otherwise, I think you're stuck with going outside of casper to get the info. If the files are small enough, create them as uncompressed audio; you c...

Re: raid 0 ssd

Generally speaking, I'd avoid RAID-ing drives altogether in data consumers, that's what storage servers are for. Are you looking at this because the SSDs are too small or for some other reason? I ask because for some applications SSDs are unnecessary. (I live in NTSC land. Playout of compressed vide...

Re: Sounds bug

Hello, ("restart the server"- just restart the Caspar server process or reboot the whole machine?) What does "sound strange" mean? Garbled? No highs (or lows)? Noisy? Slow? Just that might lead to the root cause. Does it happen with all the MP3 files or only certain ones? Is the audio coming out the...

Re: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION

Hi, I'm possibly hijacking this thread for a similar problem: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Adress:71AC2498 Code:3221225477 Flag:0 Info:0DFA68A0 (The code is the same as posted earlier). This occurs maybe 35 seconds into a particular mpg file, so far others play without error. In my system, the graphics driv...

Re: Audio over SDI

I wouldn't expect audio out of both. If you do want both, try adding a screen consumer to the channel. Note that I haven't actually tried this. Might tomorrow if I get interested :).

Later,

z!

Re: Audio over SDI

Like this-- <decklink> <device>1</device> >>> <embedded-audio>true</embedded-audio> <<< <latency>normal</latency> <keyer>default</keyer> <key-only>false</key-only> <buffer-depth>4</buffer-depth> <custom-allocator>true</custom-allocator> </decklink> z!

No content in captured files

Hello, I'm having problems capturing video to the disk consumer. Ought to work... Test source is a CasparCG box playing a movie out a decklink card; that's cabled to the input of the test server. Without CCG running, the expected input can be seen via BMD's MediaExpress program (and can capture into...

OSC frame counts

Hi, The ffmpeg producer OSC message /channel/##/stage/layer/##/file/frame contains both the frames elapsed on file playback and "total frames". Where does the latter number come from? Is it simply what ffmpeg reports from the metadata in the media file? I'd like to use the OSC messages to drive a co...

Re: Client Documentation ?

Picking up on this- I'm not a windows programmer but am tolerably familiar with event-driven programming (I usually work in tcl/tk) and can read c++. What sections of the client code would be best to see how the rundowns really work? I've poked around a bit but so far it hasn't been obvious what act...
