Ice hockey lineup

We are looking for a simple way to display the startup lines for an ice hockey game. Or rather, a simple way to add those names with short notice before the game. As we will not run the graphics during the actual game, a full-fledged ice hockey client might be overkill. Does anyone have a good sugge...

Re: Laptop for CasparCG?

As far as I could see from a quick search, this Notbook has a GeForce chipset, so it should be able to run Caspar without problems. So the only thing I can imagine is a network issue. Do you send the iVGA via Ethernet-cable or Wi-Fi? That could actually be the case... We were sending iVGA via wifi....

Laptop for CasparCG?

We will use CasparCG with the Navis Media Soccer Client for soccer graphics, via NewTek iVGA to a Tricaster Mini. Since those will be field productions we'd like to use CasparCG on a laptop. We tried with an Asus N56V, Intel i7 3.30GHz, 8GB RAM and Windows 7 64-bit. But it's apparently too slow, sin...

ffmpeg encoding parameters

We're thinking of setting up a watch folder to analyse the files to convert those that need conversion, to make sure all files play o...

Re: Mixing framerates

Ok, but mixing PAL 25fps (576i/25) and 720p50 seems to be ok? I guess since both are divisible by 50? And the ffmpeg parameters for conversion to 720p50 are still valid? -acodec libmp3lame -ac 2 -ar 48000 -ab 256k -request_sample_fmt s16 - vcodec libx264 -g 50 -tune fastdecode -crf 16 -crf_max 22 -t...

Mixing framerates

We are a community TV channel and we get programs in different formats and framerates from our members. We output 720p50 from the CasparCG server (with BroadcastPlay), and have a router convert it to 720p30 for live streaming on YouTube and to PAL (576i50) for TV broadcast. Our own programs are prod...
